CANCER-ASSOCIATED ANTIGEN ANALOG PEPTIDE AND UTILIZATION OF THE SAME

By using an experimental system for detecting a combination of DC4 with IL4 or IFN?, it is confirmed that ovarian cancer antigen-specific T cells occur in the peripheral blood of an ovarian cancer patient. By using an analog peptide of the core protein MUC16 of an ovarian cancer-associated antibody C125, it is then clarified that antigen-specific CD4-positive T cells occur at an average frequency of about 4% in the peripheral monocytes of patients and normal subjects. By analyzing the T cell epitope in the core protein MUC16 of the ovarian cancer-associated antigen CA125, the amino acid sequence of a shorter epitope FTLNFTITN (SEQ ID NO:1) is determined. Moreover, it is found out that an analog peptide OVCA 11:GHTAPGPLLVPFTLNFTITN (SEQ ID NO:11) is suitable for activating T cells.
