<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability and maintainability for displaying an image. <P>SOLUTION: In a display apparatus having a structure that image signals 9, 10 and 11 outputted from image signal sources 5, 6, 7 and 8 in a plurality of image transmitting units 1, 2, 3 and 4 are inputted to an image receiving unit 24, a timing generation circuit 20 for receiving, frame buffers 16, 17, 18 and 19 and an image signal processing circuit 21 are provided. Transmission permit signals 12, 13, 14 and 15 outputted from the timing generation circuit 20 for receiving are sequentially transmitted with timing which is generated in the timing generation circuit 20 for receiving and buffer writing permit signals 28, 29, 30 and 31 are transmitted with the timing synchronized with it and the image signals 9, 10 and 11 are written in the frame buffers 16, 17, 18 and 19.
