<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device capable of maintaining its function even when an internal combustion engine is so operated that the temperature of exhaust gases is lowered. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device 30 of the internal combustion engine comprises exhaust gas flow control means 16, 25, and 41 regulating the flow of the exhaust gases EG discharged from the internal combustion engine 1, a particulate collecting/removing means 31 collecting/removing particulates contained in the exhaust gases, a temperature raising means 33 disposed on the upstream side of the particulate collecting/removing means and increasing the temperature of the exhaust gases by heating through energization, and a control means 36 reducing the flow of the exhaust gases by driving the exhaust gas flow regulating means and energizing the temperature raising means when the operating state of the internal combustion engine 2 lowers the temperature of the exhaust gases. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
