<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing original plate which brings about no liquid waste and excels extremely in operability in a bright room, corresponding to a method of direct image drawing by heat, and which excels particularly in plate inspection properties on the occasion of platemaking, in regard to a platemaking technique for the lithographic printing original plate. <P>SOLUTION: The lithographic printing original plate is constituted by providing on a substrate a layer changeable to be hydrophobic by heat and a hydrophilic layer as the outermost layer.
