<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a miniaturized and lightweight display apparatus having high display quality by reducing the number of members constituting the display apparatus and reducing manufacturing costs. <P>SOLUTION: In the display apparatus comprising a display part in which an electro-optical conversion member is held in a gap by an upper substrate having an upper electrode and a lower substrate having a lower electrode opposed each other with a gap and sealed by a sealing member and an illumination part for illuminating at least the display part; the illumination part has at least a linear light guide part and a plane light guide part, the linear light guide part and the plane light guide part are stuck to the second substrate by the sealing member on adjacent portions between the linear light guide part and the plane light guide, and a light emitting diode (LED) to be a light source is arranged adjacently to the short side of the linear light guide part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
