<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control system that prevents unauthorized use and enables remote control of equipment from a terminal device shortly after a request for the issuance of identification information. <P>SOLUTION: A center apparatus 1, the equipment 2 and the terminal device 3 establish data communication via the Internet NT. The equipment 2 comprises an identification information issuance part 23 for issuing identification information to the terminal device 3, an identification information storage part 22 for storing the issued identification information, and an interface 24 for delivering the identification information stored in the identification information storage part 22 to the terminal device 3. The terminal device 3 comprises an interface 35 for receiving the identification information output from the interface 24 of the equipment 2, and an identification information setting part 34 for storing the identification information input from the interface 35.
