PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an inexpensive optical path conversion connector which suppresses a deviation of an optical axis in multicore optical connection, and has a high optical connection efficiency. SOLUTION: A 1st cladding layer is formed by applying a solution of 1st polyamide fluoride of a low refractive index to a substrate 50, and a 1st core layer is formed by applying a solution of 2nd polyamide fluoride of a high refractive index thereto. Next, a 1st core 53a and a 2nd core 53b orthogonally crossing each other are formed by patterning the 1st core layer, and a 2nd cladding layer is formed by applying the solution of 1st polyamide fluoride to make an optical waveguide body 51 in which the 1st and 2nd cores are embedded in the 1st and 2nd cladding layers. Next, two or more optical waveguide bodies 51 are stacked and stuck to form an optical waveguide unit 52, and an optical path conversion device 2 is made by forming a mirror surface 4c by dicing the optical waveguide unit 52 at a position where the 1st core 53a and the 2nd core 53b cross each other.
