PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely maintain and control a bank and reduce its running costs, with regard to the bank foot water channel construction built on the back slope toe of that bank constructed along a river and the like. SOLUTION: A concrete lid block 31A in a reversed U shape in section is removably placed on a concrete drain ditch block 32 in a U shape in section. Consequently the lid block 31A functions as a footing to maintain and control the bank 1. Water having permeated into a bank body 2 is drained after it is led into a bank foot water channel construction 3A through a water catchment hole 32a. Rainwater having fallen onto the back slope toe of the bank 1 is drained after it is led into the bank foot water channel construction 3A through a slit 31b. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
