PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat back structure for a vehicle which can surely perform safety protection for a seated person in the case of rear end collision, and surely suppress forward-tilted lifting of the head rest in usual time. SOLUTION: The seat back structure is equipped with a seat back frame and a head rest frame provided on the upper part of the seat back frame. The seat back frame is equipped with a rail member formed so that the head rest frame can be moved in forward-tilted lifting. The head rest frame is equipped with a liftingly movable guide part along the rail member, a lifting means lifting the guide part along the rail member is provided at the lower part of the guide part, and the guide part is connected to the lifting means through the connecting member. The lifting means are turnably connected each other through the shaft member so that a plurality of link members disposed in the vertical direction form the crest part and the trough part in the side plane view.
