PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining device such as a grinding device and a cutting device capable of eliminating a fluctuation in the position of a machining point caused by a machining force generated in the machining point. SOLUTION: This machining device includes: a machining means provided with a machining tool for machining a workpiece; a holding means for holding the workpice; a feed means for moving the holding means to the machining tool side; and a pressing means for pressing the feed means to the workpiece side, wherein the direction of connecting the pressing position of the pressing means and the machining point of the workpiece is substantially the same as the pressing direction of the pressing means.
