PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economically excellent strainer system capable of improving operation efficiency, making it easy to recycle stuck objects as a raw material or reuse it as a filtration aid without disposing them and avoiding waste by automatically removing the stuck objects of a strainer element in a short period of time. SOLUTION: In a strainer, one or more strainer elements composed by forming a gap between the adjacent rings of a coil or a ring-like piece constituting a cylindrical body wound in a coil shape or a cylindrical body for which many ring-like pieces are piled up and sticking and bridging the filtration aid at the gap part are stored in a container having an introduction port, a discharge port and a partition plate partitioning the introduction port and the discharge port by fixing one end of the strainer element to the partition plate. In the strainer, air for back-washing or back-washing liquid is blown in and back washing is performed when an introduction port side pressure reaches a set pressure or at every set interval of time.
