MULTI TYPE AIR CONDITIONER

A multi-air conditioner is provided to freely choose the installation position of the main outdoor device by precluding the refrigerant of the main outdoor from being stagnant and flowing backward. A multi-air conditioner comprises a main outdoor device(10A) containing a variable capacity compressor(11) whose capacity is varied and at least one fixing capacity compressor(12) whose capacity is constantly fixed; and at least one sub outdoor device(10B) formed with plural fixing capacity compressors. The maximum capacity of the variable capacity compressor is relatively larger than the capacity of the fixing capacity compressor. The minimum capacity of the variable capacity compressor is over 30% of the capacity of the fixing capacity compressor. The whole number of the variable capacity compressor and the fixing capacity compressor contained in the main outdoor device is the same as the number of the fixing capacity compressor contained at the sub outdoor device.
