An image forming apparatus is provided to secure high price competitiveness by employing a plurality of sliding hubs, fixing hubs, a cam and a cam shaft for selectively combining the sliding hubs and the fixing hubs and simplify the structure of the image forming apparatus by driving the cap using a stepping motor. An image forming apparatus sequentially develops a monochrome toner image on a photosensitive drum using a plurality of developing devices and transfers the toner image to an intermediate transfer medium to print a color image. The image forming apparatus includes the plurality of developing devices, a cam shaft, a plurality of cams(131), and a power transmitter. The plurality of cams are located at the cam shaft, respectively corresponding to the plurality of developing devices. The power transmitter is interposed between the plurality of developing devices and the plurality of cams to selectively transmit the rotating force of a driving source to the developing devices in response to the rotatory phase of the cam shaft. |
