<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print system for restricting an output of color printing without providing a dedicated server, and provide a method for controlling the print system and a print processing program. <P>SOLUTION: When detecting a color printing instruction to a color printer 40 for a color image created by a print image creating part 21, a client device 20 sends to an information management PC 10 information about a user who has made a print instruction operation, and asks whether or not color printing is possible by means of a color printing possibility asking part 26. The information management PC 10 gives the client device 20 answers as to whether or not color printing is possible for the user reported and whether or not it is possible to switch to black-and-white print. If only black-and-white print is possible, the client device 20 performs black-and-white printing at a black-and-white printer 30 or a color printer 40 using PDL data resulting from the conversion of color document images into black-and-white by a black-and-white conversion part 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
