<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus which can improve a PDLAS function in accordance with user needs. <P>SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus having a PDL automatic switching mechanism comprises an image processing main control means 206 having a function of adding an object PDL of PDLAS. A user I/F control unit 204 receives an instruction from a user I/F 400 and interprets and processes the instruction contents. A recording medium 205 stores information of object PDL or PDL detection conditions.
