<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for simply estimating a sleeping state in real time with a small amount of calculation. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for estimating a sleeping state is provided with: a period detection part for detecting a pulsation period from a metered heart rate; a short period standard deviation calculation part for calculating short period standard deviation from the pulsation period; a long period standard deviation calculation part for calculating long period standard deviation from the pulsation period; an index calculation part for calculating a sleeping state index by putting the short period standard deviation and the long period standard deviation into a prescribed calculation formula; and a sleeping state judgment part for judging the sleeping state of the user based on the calculated sleeping state index. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
