<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve magnetic path efficiency, by remarkably reducing magnetic flux leakage of an interrupting device using an electromagnet. <P>SOLUTION: This interrupting device has the electromagnet 3, a magnetic path forming member 5, an armature 7, a pilot clutch 9, a cam mechanism 11, a pressure ring 13 and a main clutch 15. The magnetic path forming member 5 has a fixing member 17 for regulating the axial movement, and the armature 7 movably arranged in the axial direction to the fixing member 17 by magnetic attraction force of the electromagnet 3.
