PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission belt superior in abrasion resistance and durability; and a manufacturing method of the power transmission belt. SOLUTION: A V-ribbed belt 10 is composed of an extension part 12 composed of cover canvas 15, an adhesive part 14 embedded with a conductor 13, and a compression part 16 being an elastic body layer on its lower side. The compression part is composed of an organic peroxide cross-linked material of a rubber composition of blending silica by 10 to 100 pts.wt. and organic peroxide by 1 to 8 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of a rubber component including ethyleneα-olefine elastomer, and blending a vinyl-based silane compound having a boiling point of 150 to 350°C by 1 to 20 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of silica.
