PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for suppressing deterioration in insulating paper that makes it possible to easily and inexpensively suppress deterioration in the insulating paper used in oil-filled electrical machinery and apparatus. SOLUTION: In an electrical apparatus 1, conductive members 11 and 12 in contact with each other are insulated from each other by insulating paper. The insulating paper is immersed in electrical insulating oil 13 containing hydrocarbon base oil and aminic compound and/or phenolic compound. Thus, deterioration in the insulating paper is sufficiently suppressed by the action of the aminic compound and/or phenolic compound. Therefore, the electric insulation between the conductive members 11 and 12 can be kept at a high level for a long time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
