PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device capable of urging a user to be cautious by issuing an alarm when the user leaves the place where gas is used, interrupting the supply of gas after the elapse of safety time when the user does not notice the alarm, always closing a shutoff valve when gas is not used and opening the shutoff value when used in order to prevent an accident due to artificial misuse. SOLUTION: An automatic shutoff valve that is always closed when gas is not used and is opened when gas is used is disposed in a feeding pipe between a gas main cock and a gas cooking stove by detecting a pressure difference between a gas flow in part and a gas flow out part and monitoring how the gas cooking stove is used, a human body sensing device such as an optical sensor is installed at the place where the gas cooking stove is installed, and a controller receiving a signal from the sensor controls the automatic shutoff valve.
