PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire alarm unit or a fire detecting device for much more accurately providing fire occurrence in the initial stage. SOLUTION: This fire alarm unit 10 for monitoring a fire based on the status of predetermined physical quantity in a predetermined monitor region is provided with a smoke sensing part 11 for detecting smoke, a CO sensing part 12 for detecting CO and a control part 16 for judging that a fire has occurred when the change rate of smoke detected by the smoke sensing part 11 or the change rate of CO detected by the CO sensing part 12 exceeds a predetermined threshold.
