PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive small-sized door closing device for a pet, which can switch between a fully closed state and a fully opened state by a one action, while having a door closing function leaving a small gap, and a door with a door closing mechanism. SOLUTION: This door closing device comprises at least a movable part which has a door-closing-force generating contraction part and a full-closing prevention lever equipped with a protrusive engaging part, a retainer part which has a protrusive-engaging-part retainer for making the full-closing prevention lever slide inside and retaining the protrusive engaging part, and a contraction-part fixing implement for fixing one end of the door-closing-force generating contraction part to a door frame.
