PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further reduce the uneven abrasion of a conductor roll used in an electroplating line. SOLUTION: The passing state of a metal belt 1 is controlled, for example, by adjusting the inclination of a steering roll 4 by means of a cylinder 5 in a manner that when the metal belt 1 in contact with the outer circumference of a conductor roll 3 is swung in the axial direction of the conductor roll 3, the path of the center of, for example, the metal belt 1 draws the waveform of a superposed vibration composed of a long-period low-frequency vibration and a short-period periodically changing amplitude high-frequency vibration.
