PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modifying method for an elevator device capable of shortening the construction term of elevator modifying work. SOLUTION: An existing mobile cable 18 is connected between a junction box 16 and a car side control device mounted on an elevator car 10. When the existing mobile cable 18 is to be replaced in association with modification of an elevator device, first the cable 18 is removed from the part between the junction box 16 and the car side control device, and between them a new mobile cable is connected. Then a dummy cable in accordance with the weight difference between the existing cable 18 and the new cable is connected between the junction box 16 and the car side control device.
