Surface lighting panel uses fluorescent material excited by a magnetic field and does not use electrodes

The surface lighting panel has two light transmitting plates [1,2] separated by a frame [3]. The inner surface of one plate has formed lugs [5] and the space between is filled with a fluorescent material. A magnetic plate [43] is bonded to the lower plate and the magnetic field activates the fluorescent material. The lugs increase the efficiency and homogeneity of the output.
