<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food binder derived from natural material and containing agar as an active ingredient. <P>SOLUTION: The food binder comprises polysaccharides derived from natural material i.e. agar as an active ingredient. The food binder enables production of a mold without using any conventional binder such as lubricant or bond. When the conventional lubricant or bond is used, the food binder is useful because the blinding quantity of the conventional lubricant or bond can be reduced. The agar has no taste and scent, therefore does not spoil flavor and appearance inherent in raw material to which the agar is added.
