PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that trouble occurs when a user cannot determine which remote controller is to be used in actually using the remote controllers since the remote controllers exist at every appliance and that the user cannot see how to perform an operation since even unnecessary information are displayed when an operation method is displayed on the display of the remote controller. SOLUTION: The remote controller comprises: an input information acquiring part for acquiring input information which includes appliance identification information to identify the appliance to be remotely controlled; an appliance identification information acquiring part for acquiring the appliance identification information from the input information; and a display part for displaying appliance control information for the appliance to be controlled by a control button on a display, based on the appliance identification information.
