摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which is practical and has a wide light emitting wavelength band by constituting an active area by using a nanotube in an easy-to-manufacture manner in viewpoint of productivity or manufacturing cost or the like, and in a usable manner in viewpoint of selectivity of light emitting wavelength. SOLUTION: A laser medium structure 102 is formed of a carbon nanotube 121 having a bending part 121a. An upper stage (first supporting body) 101a and a lower stage (second supporting body) 101b are formed on the surface of a substrate 101, and a catalyst metal layer 111 which is made of a catalyst metal such as iron or cobalt, etc. and of which thickness is around 0.06-0.5 nm is formed in the upper stage 101a. The carbon nanotube 121 is grown in the catalyst metal layer 111 and is extended on the plane from the upper stage 101a to the lower stage 101b, and it is provided with a bending part 121a in a step between the upper stage 101a and the lower stage 101b.
