PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire that the output ratio between two infrared rays is in a prescribed distribution state by paying attention to a change of the output ratio between the two infrared rays based on fluctuation of an actual flame, and to thereby discriminate surely a blaze of the flame. SOLUTION: This flame sensor has a constitution equipped with a main infrared sensor 1 for detecting an infrared ray in a specific wavelength band emitted from the flame, a sub-infrared sensor 11 for detecting an infrared ray in a wavelength band different from the main infrared sensor 1, a CPU 32 functioning as an operation means for operating the output ratio between detection signals from both infrared sensors 1, 11, and a CPU 32 functioning as a flame discrimination means for discriminating the flame based on the fact that the output ratio operated by the operation means is in a prescribed distribution state.
