PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary device for a driving operation of a vehicle, which auxiliary device can carry out the control of a reaction force on an accelerator pedal so as to correspond to the driving intention of a driver. SOLUTION: The auxiliary device for the driving operation of the vehicle comprises a risk calculating means 50 for calculating the risk of an own vehicle or the surroundings of the own vehicle from the results detected by circumstance recognizing means 10, 20, 40 for detecting conditions of the vehicle and running environments around the vehicle, an accelerator pedal reaction force calculating means 70 for calculating an accelerator pedal reaction force command value according to the risk calculated by the risk calculating means 50, an accelerator pedal reaction force generating means 80 for generating an operating reaction force on the accelerator pedal according to the accelerator pedal reaction force command value calculated by the accelerator pedal reaction force calculating means 70, a driving intention detecting means 200 for detecting the intention of the driving operation of the driver, and accelerator pedal reaction force regulating means 210, 220 for regulating the operating reaction force generated by the accelerator pedal reaction force generating means 80 from the results detected by the driving intention detecting means 200.
