PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cassette capable of stabilizing the quality of printing, and a tape printing apparatus mounting the cassette. SOLUTION: A recessed part is formed on a side wall 95 on a tape discharging side of the tape cassette 30 corresponding to a tape feeding roller 33, and a step difference part 96 projected toward the downstream side on a tape passage is formed from the bottom face of the recessed part. In addition, on the projected part of this step difference part 96, a regulating parts 97 and 99 for regulating the width direction and the thickness direction of the tape 31 and a tape discharging end face 98 close to a passive blade 17 are formed. Therefore, the tape 31 is surely carried to the tape discharging end face 98 close to the passive blade 17 by the projected part of the step difference part 96 and the regulating parts 97 and 99.
