The gravel trap strip has a base arm (2) and at least an angled side arm (3) with apertures. The side arm is fitted with a vertically adjustable connecting rail (4) by screwed which pass through the apertures (5). The apertures in the side arm and/or in the connecting rail are oblong extending in the vertical adjustment direction. Two side arms are provided connected either side to the longitudinal edge of the base arm to form a U-shaped channel.
