<p>An assembly applies magnetic treatment to a flowing liquid e.g. water supply flowing through a pipe. The assembly has an inlet to a non-electrical conductor helical pipe section (2C) around a magnetic core at the center of the helix. The magnetic core consists of a series of permanent magnets extending the full length of the helix and held as a group within a retaining cage. The magnetic assembly consists of an inner core (13A) surrounded by secondary permanent magnets (12). The magnetic assembly rests on bearings and rotates in the opposite direction to that taken by the water through the helix. The assembly has a water flow rate sensor coupled via a magnetic core rotational speed control unit. The assembly has a second sensor monitoring the degree of magnetic effect on the water and linked to the speed control unit.</p> |
