METHOD FOR PRODUCING CROSSLINKED SPHERICAL POLYMER PARTICLE

A raw material monomer containing a monomer having two or more unsaturated double bonds and an unsaturated monomer having a hydrophilic functional group or an active hydrogen group is subjected to solution polymerization by using a polymerization initiator in a solvent which dissolves the raw material monomer but does not dissolve a polymer produced by the polymerization. Consequently, crosslinked spherical polymer particles having a narrow particle size distribution and relatively uniform particle sizes can be commercially advantageously and highly stably produced by a simple process without using seed particles.
