<p>A method (M1) for indicating the position of a formed part (2) (especially a part which is not rotationally-symmetrical) by illuminating the part with a light source (11) at one angle and taking an image at a different angle with a camera (10) to form a 3-dimensional image of (2), obtaining a profile (K1) within the image and determining the position of (2) from the profile, in which components of irrelevant data in the camera image are reduced by masking before or during profile-taking. Independent claims are included for (1) a position-locating device for M1, with a feeder system (3) for the part (2), a light source (11) for point or linear illumination, a camera (10) for recording images from a different angle to give a 3-dimensional image of (2), a handling and/or finishing facility (6) (especially a robot (4) and a polishing machine (6, 7)) and a control unit (15) for controlling the locating process (2) a method (M2) for programming a processing profile, especially a polishing profile, for finishing a part (2) in a polishing device (6, 7) along the profile (K1), in which an actual profile (K1) is used as the processing profile for programming with the aid of the above method and device (3) a processing device, especially a polisher, for processing a part (2) by method M2 .</p> |
