A composition for inhibiting brain neurotoxicity is provided to separate and purify the brain neurotoxicity inhibiting materials from edible Rosa laevigata Michx, thereby being used for functional foods or medicinal products for treating and preventing brain neuronal diseases. The composition for inhibiting brain neurotoxicity comprises Rosa laevigata Michx extract as an effective ingredient. The Rosa laevigata Michx extract is prepared by using methanol or ethanol as an extract solvent and contains 1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid dinonyl ester as an active ingredient.
