<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Internet facsimile in which waste of recording sheet due to a text message can be limited. <P>SOLUTION: The Internet facsimile 20 transmits/receives image data as a file attached to an e-mail and a main control section 1 detects a specified unnecessary part in the text message of a received e-mail, e.g. a quoted part or an original document, (YES in step S3 in Fig. 2), omits the unnecessary part thus detected from the text message to generate a new text message (step S5), transfers the text message at the omitted part to a previously registered external unit, i.e., a client personal computer (hereinafter, referred to a client PC) 60-1 or 60-2, or discard the text message (step S10). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
