<p>The invention relates to a method for treating waste water with activated sludge containing micro-organisms. The method comprises the step of acclimatising the micro-organisms in a single reactor under comparatively strong aeration, to cause a BOD removal reaction and a nitrification reaction in said waste water, and the step of causing a de-nitrification reaction in said single reactor under comparatively weak aeration in the presence of said BOD removal and nitrification reactions. <IMAGE></p> |
