The basket has a base (12) and side walls consisting of several through holes. The base and/or side wall has a supporting unit retainer for arranging of supporting units for holding of surgical or tooth surgical instruments or devices, where the retainer has form and/or size different from the form and size of the through holes. The through holes are identically designed in rectangular or quadratic form.
