A cutting tool having a separate tip portion and a method for bonding the tip portion are provided to easily exchange a sank portion and the tip portion in the field by easily bonding and separating the sank portion and the tip portion. A cutting tool includes a sank portion(100) and a tip portion(200). The sank portion has a bonding surface in which prominences and depressions are formed. The tip portion has a bonding surface corresponding to the bonding surface of the sank portion so as to be bonded to the sank portion. The bonding surface of the tip portion also has prominences and depressions. A portion in which the bonding surface of the sank portion and the bonding surface of the tip portion is superposed has an engagement hole(310). The sank portion and the tip portion are engaged with each other by an engagement member connecting the engagement hole.
