<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion compensation optical fiber which can form a module without causing loss deterioration in an L band even when wound around a coil. <P>SOLUTION: The dispersion compensation optical fiber is characterized in that: the radius (d) of a depressed core part 4 is 8 to 14μm; the ratio b/a of an intermediate core part radius to a center core part radius is 2.0 to 4.0; the radio c/b of a ring core part radius to the intermediate core part radius is 1.2 to 1.7; the radio d/c of a depressed core part radius to the ring core part radius is 1.4 to 2.0; the specific refractive index differenceΔ1 of a center core part 1 from a clad 5 is +1.6 to 2.0%; the specific refractive index differenceΔ2 of an intermediate core part 2 from the clad 5 is -1.20 to -1.60%; the specific refractive index differenceΔ3 of a ring core part 3 from the clad 5 is +0.3 to 0.7%; and the specific refractive index differenceΔ4 off the depressed core part 4 from the clad 5 is -0.06 to 0%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
