An ultrasonic wave sealing method for container for sealing a cover (12) on a container body (11) by using an ultrasonic horn (54) having a sealing action face (53), comprising the steps of, with a container body flange (24) overlapped with the outer peripheral edge part of the cover (12), pressurizing the overlapped part by the sealing action face (53) and acting an ultrasonic wave rotating vibration on the sealing action face (53) in the rotating direction about an axis parallel with a pressing direction.
