The device has a tubular part (8) integrated to a motor (6) and having an adapted section for its engagement in a rolling tube (2) of a roller shutter. Another part (10) forms a fixation head for cooperating with a support flange. The part (10) has a tubular case in the extension of the part (8). A battery (14) supplying the electric power to the motor is placed in the part (10). The battery is traversed by an opening (15) that serves as a housing for electronic components e.g. board (16).
