The method involves varying an agitation of a material layer found on tray rockers (18, 19) depending upon number of parameters of a harvested material. A tray rocker drive (34) is moved with respect to a machine frame of a harvester. The agitation is matched with a natural characteristic frequency of the harvested material. The parameter relates to type, throughput, speed or structure of the harvested material. An independent claim is also included for a device for operating a combined harvester. |
