A cogeneration system is provided to reduce the size of the main unit by installing the heat medium circulation pump at the sub unit. A cogeneration system comprises a main unit(80) having a generator(50), a driving source driving the generator and generating the heat, and a waste heat recovery unit(60) recovering the waste heat of the driving source; a heat pump-type air conditioner(100) containing a compressor, a four-way valve, an outdoor heat exchanger(108), an outdoor expansion device(105), an indoor heat exchanger(109), and an indoor expansion device(107); and a sub unit(90) installed with a waste heat supply heat exchanger(92) supplying the heat recovered at the water heat recovery unit to the heat pump-type air conditioner. The main and sub units are connected to a heat medium circulation path(72) formed to circulate the heat medium. The sub unit and the heat pump-type air conditioner are connected to a refrigerant circulation path(102) formed to circulate the refrigerant.
