A cogeneration system is provided to improve the use performance by installing the stirling engine at the heat medium circulation path to receive the heat from the heat medium. A cogeneration system comprises a generator(50); a driving source driving the generator and generating the heat; a heat pump-type air conditioner containing a compressor(83), a four-way valve(84), an outdoor heat exchanger(85), an indoor heat exchanger(87), an outdoor expansion valve(86), and an indoor expansion valve(88); and an additional compression unit compressing the refrigerant of the heat pump-type air conditioner by using the waste heat generated at the driving source. The additional compression unit is a stirling engine(70) or a turbine engine receiving the heat and generating the power.
