FIELD: agriculture, in particular, vegetable growing, may be used for forcing out of leaved chicory heads. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves planting and moistening roots, with roots being planted in substrate containing soil and clay-irlites in the ratio of 1:1, said substrate being moistened to 75-80% of field water capacity; covering roots with 14-16 cm thick irlite layer. ^ EFFECT: improved quality of leaved chicory heads, reduced cell content, increased amount of sugar, vitamin C and dry substances. ^ 1 tbl, 1 ex |
