A mold closing unit is provided with a device (13) for treatment and/or removal of moldings, comprising a supporting element for supporting the device (13) in the area o f the mold (M), an actuating element, by which a treatment element (17) penetrating into the mo ld cavity (14) is operable, as well as a drive unit (A) for driving the actuating element. The drive unit drives the actuating element electromechanically and at least drive unit (A), supportin g element and actuating element constitute an in itself closed constructional unit which is detachab le from the mold closing unit (F). The drive unit is a hollow shaft motor receiving an actuating element at least partially (Fig. 2).
