摘要 An apparatus for estimating flow rate of an overflowed river by using laser beam and a method using the apparatus are provided to measure the flow rate by sending data on the movement time of a laser beam reflector adhesive float to a computer. An apparatus for estimating flow rate of an overflowed river by using laser beam includes a pair of laser beam transmitter and receiver(40,42) at each upper and lower steam with a predetermined installation area at both banks(10) of a river(11); a laser beam reflector adhesive float(30) dropped at the center of the river to pass through the laser beam transmitter and receiver; a laser beam reflector(31) reflecting the laser beam irradiated from a laser beam launcher to guide the laser beam receiver to receive the reflected laser beam; and a computer(44) receiving the consumed time to automatically and remotely measure the flow rate of the overflowed river by measuring the average flow speed of the predetermined area of the stream.
