A polarized light converting system, a method for manufacturing the same, and a liquid crystal display device having the same are provided to prevent misalignment of a polarized light separating part and a polarized light converting part by automatically aligning the polarized light separating part and the polarized light converting part, thereby improving the polarized light conversion efficiency and the light use efficiency. A polarized light separating unit(20) has a polarized light separating part separating a non-polarized light according to a polarized light and an optical path changing part making two lights having separated and orthogonal polarized lights advance in the same direction. A first member having a first liquid crystal aligning layer(36) on which optical reactive photo polymer is applied is placed on the polarized light separating unit. Two kinds of aligned areas different in an align state are formed on the first liquid crystal aligning layer by applying ultraviolet rays on only one of an area of the first liquid crystal aligning layer corresponding to the polarized light separating part and another area corresponding to the optical path changing part by making ultraviolet rays of the first polarized light enter the polarized light separating part. A single aligned area is formed by applying ultraviolet rays of the second polarized light to a front surface of a second member having a second liquid crystal aligning layer on which optical reactive photo polymer is applied. Liquid crystal is injected into a space between the first member and the second member, and is automatically aligned with the polarized light separating part and the optical path changing part to form a liquid crystal layer(33) having first and second areas(31,32) different in a degree of converting an incident light into a polarized light, and formed of liquid crystal or liquid high molecules.
